She’s our newest Rantoul Eagle! 🦅 Welcome to 💛💜 RTHS School Resource Officer Anaya. Officer Anaya has been with RPD for 3 years, and comes to us from midnight shift patrol. She is a member of our METRO SWAT team, and a member of the Illinois National Guard. Welcome Officer Anaya to the RTHS family.

Please use caution following recent heavy rainfall. Several areas throughout Rantoul are experiencing standing or high water.

For your safety, please avoid flooded streets, parks, creeks, ponds, and any areas where water is standing. Never drive through standing water. Water may be deeper or moving faster than it appears, and road conditions underneath may be unsafe.

Village crews are actively working to address flooded areas as quickly as possible. We appreciate your patience and cooperation while these conditions are being addressed.

A little friendly team spirit in its purest form. When officers perform any function, it's logged into our database. This includes their foot patrols and community engagement. When we checked which team was out walking the parks, neighborhoods, businesses, and other areas of Rantoul, we found that 🅰️-TEAM had the most "steps". 🐾👣
A-Team may be bragging this week, but the real win here is that we get more time out and about in Rantoul. If you see us out, don't be afraid to say "hi" 👋🏾.

Yesterday, the Champaign County Sheriff's Office recognized employees for their outstanding work throughout the year, including our very own Sergeant Kyle Gregg!

Sgt. Gregg, pictured with Sgt. Darr, was recognized for his role in the apprehension of a burglary suspect. His efforts are an example of the teamwork and collaboration that happens every day with our local agencies.

Thank you to the Champaign County Sheriff's Office for recognizing his efforts. Congratulations, Sgt. Gregg on a job well done.

What we thought was Promise Healthcare's Back-to-School event turned into our best recruiting days yet! Turns out, we've got quite a few future officers in the making. The vest may be a little big and the recruits a bit short, but the enthusiasm was definitely there.

For those traveling on Veterans Roadway, between Textron Dr. to Cook St., public works will be working on the roadway. This section will be closed for the next three days for repairs.

At the truck show last night, our officers got a birds-eye view of the truck lights. We hope to see you at the Parade tonight. It begins at dusk.
