He is risen, and because He lives, there is hope.

This Easter, we are reminded that no life is too broken, no burden is too heavy, and no one is beyond the love of God.

We see the power of hope every day. Because of Jesus, new beginnings are possible.

Our prayer is that every person who walks through our doors feels seen, loved, and reminded that their life has value.

“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In His great mercy He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.” 1 Peter 1:3

Happy Easter from all of us at the Cornerstone Rescue Mission.

Our VA&R chairman, Julie Malcolm, completed the Female Veteran’s move-in set that was started at the last project day and delivered it to the Cornerstone Rescue Mission, Support Services for Veterans and Families. Thank you to those who donated items and to our unit for purchasing the additional items! A special thank you to Kevin Klunder for the kitchen-in-a-box set!

Stocking Shelves

The Rapid City Elks Lodge #1187 (Elks Club) made a generous donation to the Veterans Program and the Women and Children’s Home after spending $2,000 at Sam’s Club to purchase essential supplies for Cornerstone Rescue Mission. The items—ranging from laundry soap and dish soap to coffee creamer, sugar, and more—have helped restock our shelves and support the daily operations that keep our building running.

This thoughtful contribution has made a meaningful impact for our staff and guests, ensuring we can continue providing a clean, welcoming, and well-supported environment. We are grateful for the Elks Club’s generosity and commitment to serving our community.
