Celebrate National Poetry Month with SDSPS: Poetry Grows Here! 📜🌸
April is National Poetry Month, and what better way to celebrate than by growing our community of poets and spreading the joy of poetry across South Dakota? The South Dakota State Poetry Society (SDSPS) is thrilled to launch Poetry Grows Here, a month-long membership drive designed to engage our current members, inspire new poets, and encourage the gift of poetry to others.
What’s Happening During the Month of April:
🎁 Giveaway: Join or Gift a Membership & Win! Join or gift a membership to SDSPS in April and be entered into a Poetry Gift Basket Giveaway filled with books, journals, pens, and more! The winner will be announced in early May!
📲 Mondays: “Poetry Chain” Social Media Challenge Post a short poem and tag a friend to join in. Use the hashtags and to spread the word!
🗣 Wednesdays: “Why I’m a Member” Testimonial Spotlights Every Wednesday, we’ll share testimonials from current members, showcasing how being part of SDSPS has helped them grow as poets. Want to share your story? Reach out to us, and we’ll feature you!
💖 Thursdays: “Give Back to Poetry” Donation Challenge Support SDSPS by donating to help us continue our poetry programs, events, and initiatives. Use the hashtags and to spread the love!
📚 Fridays: “Poem of the Week” – Featuring a SD Poet Each Friday, we’ll share a poem from a South Dakota poet to inspire others to join SDSPS and celebrate our vibrant poetry community.
