This time of year, the Black Hills are known for quickly developing thunderstorms that can bring hail, damaging winds and significant rain, particularly in the late afternoon hours.
Numerous Rally goers were reminded of this about an hour ago near Rockerville.
Pay attention to forecasts, the sky, and your surroundings.
Seek shelter if you can.
If you are caught in a storm, slow down and pull over out of the lane of traffic if you are unable to safely ride your motorcycle.
And as always, wear a helmet! Head injuries can occur from hail, not just crashes.
