🚧 National Work Zone Awareness Week | April 20–24 🚧
The National Work Zone Awareness Week is a time to remind everyone that “Safe Actions Save Lives.”
We are proud to share that the Pennington County Board of Commissioners has officially proclaimed April 20–24, 2026, as National Work Zone Awareness Week in Pennington County.
Every day, highway workers, utility crews, and emergency personnel put themselves at risk to keep our roads safe and maintained. Work zones are not just an inconvenience—they are active job sites where lives are on the line.
⚠️ You can make a difference by:
• Slowing down and following posted speed limits
• Staying alert and avoiding distractions
• Giving workers plenty of space
• Watching for sudden stops or lane changes
🚧 Remember: the actions you take behind the wheel matter. One safe decision can save a life—maybe even your own.
Let’s work together to keep our roads—and the people working on them—safe. 💛
