Whether you want to fight fires, help with fund raisers or any of the other jobs you may be interested in helping at our department, we would love to see you join! Let us know if you are interested in more information of applying to become volunteer!

Virginia’s spring fire season is here, officially Feb. 15 – April 30. During that time, the statewide burn law is in effect, which prohibits outdoor fires between midnight and 4 p.m. 🔥🚫

Don't be fooled by the snow! Most of Virginia is in a drought caused by months of below-average rainfall. Already this year, DOF has responded to 80 wildfires that have burned nearly 800 acres.

The best ways you can prevent wildfires:
🔥 Wait until after the fire season to burn yard debris
🔥 If you must burn, avoid windy days
🔥 Never leave a fire unattended
🔥 Know the state burn law and local restrictions

🚫 Breakfast with Santa is CANCELLED Due to Inclement Weather

📣However we will be going live here on Facebook, at 11am to announce the 5 lucky winners!

❄️ Due to the inclement weather and out of an abundance of caution for our community and volunteers, we are canceling our fundraiser breakfast scheduled for tomorrow, 12/6.

We appreciate everyone’s support and understanding. Stay safe, and thank you for your continued support! ☃️

Morning Cpep!

Got a lil snow but we are still out here keeping things safe the best we can. Slow up some, use some caution and don’t find any parking lots to do donuts please!!

Back roads are pretty much covered, main roads are slushy and slick but seem to be flowing. Most roads were pre treated but that sometimes could be more salt from your spice cabinet!

Be careful everyone, call if you need us! Add pictures if you have a specific road you feel is in rough shape.

If the hospital staff needs a ride in please dont hesitate to call us!
