Calling all ghosts, ghouls, and monsters! Join us for a fun Halloween 5K Run/Walk through the local neighborhood on Saturday, October 31st.

Costumes are strongly encouraged, and a commemorative event shirt is included with all timely registrations!

🎃 Trunk or Treat is Back! 🎃

Join Rathdrum Parks & Recreation for our annual Halloween tradition! We’re moving the fun earlier this year so your family can enjoy Trunk or Treat and still have plenty of time for neighborhood trick-or-treating.

📍 Lakeland High School Parking Lot
🗓️ Saturday, October 31st
⏰ Event Time: 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM

Want to Decorate a Trunk?
Bring your creativity and get in on the fun! All participating vehicles must register in advance.

Keep It Family-Friendly: Outfits and trunks should be fun for all ages (toddlers through grade school)—nothing too gory, please!

Safety First: Adults must be recognizable, so no full-face masks for parents.

Power: No outlets or generators permitted. Battery-powered lights and inverters are welcome!

Treats: Plan for roughly 2,500 kids. All candy must be factory-prepackaged and commercially sealed.

Vendors Welcome: Food/product vendors may register, but all trunks must hand out free treats—no selling items from vehicles.

Vehicle Schedule & Details
Set-Up Window: 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM (All cars must be set up by 2:00 PM)

Trunk or Treating: 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM (An adult must stay with the vehicle at all times)

Trunk Judging: 3:15 PM – 4:15 PM

Awards Presented: 4:45 PM

Portions of Main Street will be closed Wednesday, September 16 for the 2026 Lakeland Homecoming Parade.
Main Street will be closed from McCartney Street east to McDonald's. The closure will be from approximately 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM. The parade will begin movement at 6:00 PM. For more information, please call 208-687-2399.

🎨 Double the Canvas, Double the Fun! Paint Night in Rathdrum 🖌️✨

Grab your bestie, partner, or child for a creative night out! Each person in your duo paints their own individual canvas, but when placed side-by-side, your pieces connect to form one giant collaborative artwork.

Led by local artist Hull Art , this Youth & Adult session offers step-by-step guidance to help you both take home a finished acrylic painting. Absolutely no experience needed!
