WANTED: THEFT SUSPECT
Incident Information
Raton Crime Stoppers and local law enforcement are seeking the public’s help in identifying a male suspect involved in a recent theft.

Offense: Larceny (Theft of Game Camera)

Location: Palo Flechado area, near the Colfax/Taos County border (Hwy 64, Mile Marker 273).

Date of Incident: Monday, April 27, 2026 (Morning hours).

Additional Details: The suspect has been observed in this area for approximately the last 2 to 3 weeks.

The Colfax County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help identifying the suspect shown below in connection with a Criminal Damage to Property incident at the Bobcat Ranch. The photo was taken on Saturday, July 5th, 2025, at approximately 6:00 p.m.

🚔 On June 12, 2025, Nestor Lucero was taken into custody by law enforcement authorities in Albuquerque, NM.

A motorcycle was stolen May 24, 2025 from the Cimarron area. The theft has been reported to New Mexico State Police and the motorcycle has been entered into the NCIC database.

The Colfax County Sheriff's Office is investigating criminal damage that occurred on April 20, 2025, at approximately 5:00 PM. An unidentified male was observed damaging the YES Program shed located at 112 N 3rd St, Raton, NM. Below is a video of the suspect.
