I had the opportunity to participate in the Raton Tiger Homecoming Parade yesterday.

Thank you once again, Raton, for your continued support and for welcoming me with such warmth. I’m grateful for the opportunity to be part of this special community tradition and appreciate everyone who took the time to come out and show their support.

A special thanks to Derrick Garcia and Danette Garcia for the use of your truck and your continued support. And of course my second hand Desiree Silva for everything she’s done for my campaign.

Go Tigers! 🖤💛

In one week, the New Mexico Secretary of State's Office will join thousands in recognition of ! Celebrate with us on September 15th by registering or checking your registration status at NMVote.org.

Every eligible citizen should have the option to exercise their right to be heard at the ballot box, and having facilitated more than 6 million voter registrations since its inception, National Voter Registration Day is the perfect day to start getting ready for this year’s election.

“I encourage New Mexicans to talk to their family, friends and neighbors about the importance of making sure they are ready to vote this year,” said Secretary of State Maggie Toulouse Oliver. “We have done a lot of work in recent years to help ensure that every eligible New Mexican can vote through the implementation of initiatives like secure automatic voter registration and same day voter registration. However, even if you are already registered to vote, National Voter Registration Day is a great reminder and opportunity to check to make sure your voter registration details are up to date.”

**The mailed ballot request portal is now open for the 2026 General Election.**

Remember, though, County Clerks cannot begin mailing ballots to voters who have successfully requested one until October 6th (so even if you've already requested one don't expect to track it or for it to come to you until after that day). The deadline to request a mailed ballot is October 20th.

Mailed ballots must be received by your County Clerk by 7:00 pm on Election Day, November 3rd. Mailed ballots must be received by your County Clerk by 7:00 pm on Primary Election Day, June 2nd. Voters have multiple ways to return a mailed ballot:

➡️You can send your ballot back by mail. If mailing your ballot back, we suggest mailing it no later than one week before Election Day to ensure it arrives to your County Clerk no later than 7:00 pm that day.
➡️ You can hand deliver it to your County Clerk's office.
➡️ You can return it through an official election drop box in your county.
➡️ You can bring it to any polling location in your county.

Learn more about voting by mail in New Mexico, including how to track the status of your mailed ballot and how to be placed on the state's permanent absentee list here: NMVote.org.
