Today, we remember the family of Officer Zane Mann. We continue to keep them, along with our entire first responder community — especially the Broken Bow Police Department — in our thoughts and prayers as they honor and say goodbye to their colleague and friend.

🚔 Rattan Police Department – Public Information Notice 🚔

We want to help keep our community informed and in compliance with Oklahoma law. Here’s a quick guide to window tint regulations in the state of Oklahoma:

🔹 Front Windshield:
Non-reflective tint is allowed only above the manufacturer’s AS-1 line (top portion of the windshield).

🔹 Front Side Windows (Driver & Passenger):
Must allow at least 25% of light to pass through.

🔹 Reflectivity:
Tint must not be more than 25% reflective (no mirror-like finishes).

🔹 Color Restrictions:
Red, amber, and other extreme colors are not permitted.

📜 Oklahoma State Statute:
Title 47 O.S. § 12-422

⚠️ Why it matters:
Window tint laws are in place for the safety of both drivers and law enforcement officers. Proper visibility helps prevent accidents and ensures safe interactions during traffic stops.

If you’re unsure about your tint, we encourage you to have it checked before it becomes an issue.

✔️ Stay safe
✔️ Stay legal
✔️ Take care of one another
