Your RFD routinely operates on the New York State Thruway, among other highways in our community.

Operating in traffic is one of the riskiest things our people do. If you are approaching an incident, tow operation, or traffic stop please make sure to:

- Maintain situational awareness
- Slow down
- Move over (when safe to do so)
- PUT.THE.PHONE.DOWN

Car 26-01, Car 26-02, Engine 26-20, Rescue 26-40, and Squad 26-50 are still pushing hard to respond to storm related incidents. Since last night, your RFD have been to possible structure fires, lightning strikes, gas leaks, and numerous hazardous conditions.

So far, we have responded to over 80 calls in the last 24 hours. We are still anticipating more calls over the next day or two.

We want to thank our local partners including mutual aid fire, EMS, law enforcement, disptachers, and the DPW. We especially want to thank the incredible men and women who make up our membership.

They have answered each and every call today and are ready to keep going.

If you need to call for assistance, please make sure to call 911.

Remember...many hands make light work. We are always looking for new members.

Due to significant rain, numerous streets are flooded and will be barricaded.

Do not drive past barricades

Do not travel over flooded streets

Do not walk through moving water

Today, members of Ravena's Bravest brought Engine 26-20 to the Columbia County Volunteer Firefighters Association's parade in Chatham.

They once again brought home some hardware, winning 2nd Place for Best Appearing Out of County.

Our members spend an incredible amount of time responding to calls, training, fund raising, and supporting many of our community events and organizations. Participating in parades help demonstrate the pride, dedication, and discipline that we put into all that we do.

If you visit the firehouse, you will see walls filled with awards and trophies from the many parades we have attended.

We are proud to serve this community. We are proud to be part of the your RFD!
