Reed Memorial Library Empowering Everyone Reed Memorial Library is a public library in a small town full of history. We hope to see you soon at RML.

We serve a population of over 20,000 people (Ravenna City and Township) and are in the top ten percent of highest-rated libraries nationwide, according to Library Journal. The library owns over 130,000 items, including books, movies, audiobooks, and music, and circulates over 350,000 items annually. The original 1924 building has been added to three times, most recently in 2006. We have dedicated

space for children, teens and adults, meeting rooms, wifi, public computers, a used book store, friendly and helpful staff, and the resources to empower everyone.

Reed Memorial Library has always promoted literacy. Our biggest annual tradition is the Summer Reading Challenge. Back in 1996, this challenge included a party with live entertainment, including a clown performance. Do you recognize any familiar faces in this picture? These kids are now in their 30s and 40s.
This year our all-ages challenge runs June 1 through July 31.

🥁🥁🥁 Introducing our new Kid Librarian, Luna Geving

Luna attends West Main Elementary and has stocked her display with fairy tale retellings, graphic novels, gothic fiction, and (since she was named after Luna Lovegood), the Harry Potter series.
Luna's favorite book is Cress, a retelling of the Rapunzel tale, by her favorite author, Marissa Meyer. Luna is currently reading The Bone Snatcher. When she's not reading, she enjoys doing loomigurimi and drawing. Luna says, "I love the library because whenever I step into it and find a good book, I feel REALLY enthusiastic!"
