One week to go until our next Pop-Up Food Pantry!

Portage County Health District, in partnership with Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank, is hosting our next Pop-Up Food Pantry on Thursday, June 4th! Stop by between 1:00pm-3:00PM and walk through our market area for fresh food and access to additional community resources. Volunteers will be on sight to help you through the market, with wheelchairs and wagons available if needed.

Portage County Health District, in partnership with Northeast Ohio Medical University, will be hosting a Sports Physical and Work Permit Clinic on Saturday, June 13 to help students prepare for the upcoming school year, athletic season, and employment opportunities.

In addition to sports physicals and work permits, community partners will also be on-site providing valuable health information and screenings.

Dental exams will be available through AxessPointe Community Health Centers - more information on how to request an appointment will be provided closer to the event.

Important Reminders:
• If you plan to receive vaccinations, please bring your medical insurance card.
• Please come dressed for the exam — tank tops or t-shirts, shorts, and easy-to-remove shoes are recommended.

Candace will play an important role in supporting both our WIC team and the families we serve through a combination of clinical and administrative support. In her position, she will assist with client intake, perform clinical procedures such as obtaining height and weight measurements, participate in community outreach initiatives, and serve as a member of our breastfeeding support team.
