We offer support and assistance to all community members in need of betterment, with programs for newborns up to senior citizens. The purpose of the King-Kennedy Community Center (KKCC) is to uplift the residents of McElrath Park and the surrounding area. KKCC provides a variety of experiences and opportunities designed to enrich the lives of our community members. Since 1978, KKCC has been helpin

g children and adults achieve their highest potential, by providing resources and opportunities including: after school tutoring, field trips, health fairs, mentoring programs, outdoor activities, senior meals, summer programs, volunteer and internship opportunities, holiday events, and much more. HISTORY:
The King Kennedy Community Center (KKCC) was built in 1978 by a group of like-minded individuals, inspired by the teachings of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., and President John F. In 2002, KKCC merged with Portage County's largest non-profit social service organization, Family and Community Services, Inc. This merge provided our community members with even more access to many, many different community and social services, events, resources, and programs. It also provided KKCC with additional support in order for us to continue to be a strong influence in the region. By promoting cultural awareness, empowering and strengthening families through program and resource availability, and continuing as a beacon of stability and unity, our community continues to flourish and grow.
