The Carbon County Clerk's Office will be closed on Tuesday, August 18, 2026 for the Primary Election. Ballots will still be accepted in the Election Office, located at 215 W. Buffalo St. Suite 240D, in Rawlins until 7:00 p.m. that day.

Carbon County voters, the 2026 Primary Election is just around the corner, and voting absentee is easy!

Ballots are available starting Tuesday, July 21st. If you’re a registered Carbon County voter, you can secure yours right now. Just call the elections office at 307-328-2650 to request one by mail.

Prefer to do it in person? Stop by the Clerk’s Office starting July 21st with your photo ID. You can fill out your ballot right there or take it home with you. Planning to pick up a ballot for a family member? Just bring your ID and a signed letter of permission from them.

Remember, your completed ballot must be back to the County Clerk’s office by 7 p.m. on Election Day, Tuesday, August 18th. Late ballots cannot be counted, so don't wait!
