Please join us this Thursday, August 27th at station 800. 5000 County Road 37 @ 1815 hours.

As we will be welcoming Engine 812 to the fire station with a ceremonial master stream christening from the outgoing Engine 711.

We will have the truck on display and at the end of the evening we will hold a push in ceremony of Engine 812.

Today is Tuesday.... and what a week it has been!

We have four of our firefighters out in Soux Falls, South Dakota doing a final inspection on Engine 812.

This morning we were dispatched for mutual aid on a structure fire.

This evening we spent 4 hours training and demoing TNT battery operated extrication tools.

We started off with the tool demonstration and then moved to training with our current extrication equipment on Engine 1011 and Heavy Rescue 767.

Great work today team, keep putting in the work!!

The truck is slated for completion at the end of July! A trip for a final inspection date will be set and 4 SHJFD firefighters will travel out to Rosenbauer for the inspection.

We are getting closer to receiving our AFG grant project thanks to Mickey Smith and his team at Nationwide First Responder Grants!!

Water movement, tanker shuttles and pump operations for training this past Tuesday night. Photos and videos compliments of a new tool for SHJFD, a drone!!!

The drone and accessories were donated to the fire district and firefighters by a great man, a man of integrity, a heart of gold and a love/passion for the first responders!!

A well deserved evening out for the firefighters and their spouses of SHJFD!

Thank you to Chief Joseph Morton and the Liberty Township Fire Department for being on the ready should the need arise to cover any calls that came in this evening!!

Thank you to the families of SHJFD for sharing your loved ones and supporting them as they serve our communities as dedicated firefighters/first responders!

To the FFA families, I am sorry that the date conflicted with this evening's event!

As the Chief, I am proud of each and every one of you! It was an honor to spend this evening with you, the food, the fellowship, the laughter, the great atmosphere and the memories!
