THANK YOU!!
Thank you so much to the community for helping us celebrate EMS Week and the 50th Anniversary of Raymond Ambulance! It’s so fun seeing so many friendly faces all coming together to celebrate. We had many people take advantage of the complimentary blood pressure and glucose testing as well as the education offered about opioids/Narcan.
We also want to send out a special thank you to Carmen w/Kandiyohi County Public Services, Cashwise, Skindelien’s in New London, AgSystems, Cenex, & Gunderson Farms!

We had a great training on Tuesday with some yummy treats brought by some visitors!

Elouise & Winston V and their mom Kris from the Railsiders 4-H Club brought some treats for our meeting! Thank You so much!

We trained on the new Slishman Traction Splint. The new splint will make future medical calls, that require the use of a traction splints, easier to apply for both the patient and EMS. We also had refreshers of our AED and our suction equipment.

Take care of you!

As Minnesotans prepare for what will be the biggest snowstorm of the season, as most of us will see over a foot of snow by Sunday afternoon , I’ve been thinking about storms in a different way:

Storms don’t ask permission.
They just arrive.

Life can feel like that sometimes too.

Especially when you struggle with mental health, as I’ve shared with you over the years.

Some days feel bright and calm.
Other days… the storm rolls in fast.

Heavy.
Cold.
Overwhelming.

But here’s what living in Minnesota teaches us:

Storms pass.

Always.

The sky clears.
The roads get plowed.
The sun eventually comes back out.

Mental health storms are the same.

If you’re in the middle of one right now… please remember this:

You are not alone.
And this storm will not last forever.

Take care of yourself.
Check on someone you love.
And as we ride out this snowstorm together later today through Sunday—

Remember that even the longest winters eventually turn to spring…yes, even here!

Stay safe. Stay warm. And take care of your mental health. ❤️

Please be use safety measures when going into grain bins!

Today, Minnesota had our 3rd grain bin entrapment of 2026.
This makes us the current national leader of bin entrapments.
Not a great badge of honor to have.
I have statistics going back over 10 years and this is the highest amount of entrapments we have had this early in the year.
Not to mention that the most entrapments happen in June & July in Minnesota. Were not even close to the "busy" season.

PLEASE help spread the word!
1. Do not go in bins with the unloading equipment running!
2. Have someone watch over you when you are in the bin. Family, friends, or even neighbors will be glad to help make sure you are safe in the bin. All you have to do is ask!
