Happy Public Power Week! 💡

This week is all about celebrating your community-owned utility, and there are three ways to join in:

Stop by, grab a coffee on us, and ask your elected commissioners anything.

Raymond office: 8:30–11:30 a.m.
Long Beach office: 1:30–4:30 p.m.

2026 Public Power Week: Your Community. Your Utility. Your Power.

How we're celebrating:

Monday, Oct. 5: Meet your commissioners. All three of your elected commissioners will be in our lobbies, with coffee and pastries from local shops. Ask about rates, projects, your bill, or anything else on your mind.

• Raymond office, 405 Duryea St.: 8:30–11:30 a.m.
• Long Beach office, 9610 Sandridge Rd.: 1:30–4:30 p.m.

Monday–Thursday, Oct. 5–8: Warm Heart Donation Wall. Add your heart to the wall at either office. Raymond and Long Beach are competing all week. Details below.

Tuesday, Oct. 6: Board of Commissioners meeting in Raymond. Open to everyone. 1:00PM at the Raymond auditorium.

Friday, Oct. 9: Warm Heart results. We'll announce the week's total and the winning office here on our page!

Every October, community-owned utilities across the country celebrate Public Power Week.
This year it's October 4–10, and we've got a few things planned to say thank you, starting with a chance to meet your commissioners in person on Monday, Oct. 5.

About 23 customers are out on Sahalee Hill in Ilwaco, in the Neasadi Dr area.

Crews have been dispatched and are en route. We don't have a cause or an estimated restoration time yet, and we'll update this post as soon as we do.

⚠️ If it's down, assume it's live.

During our last outage, our crews saw neighbors moving downed power lines. We know you were trying to help. But please, never touch or move a downed line.

A line can look harmless and still carry enough electricity to kill. It doesn't have to spark, hum or move. Power can also come back on without warning, from our system or from a generator hooked up to a home. There's no way to tell by looking.

What to do instead:

→ Stay at least 35 feet back, about the length of a school bus.
→ Don't touch it or anything it's touching: fences, puddles, trees or cars.
→ Keep kids and pets away.
→ If a line falls on your car, stay inside and call 911. Only get out if there's a fire. If you have to, jump clear with your feet together, and never touch the car and the ground at the same time.
→ Call 911, then call us at (360) 642-3191.

Our crews are trained and equipped to handle downed lines safely. Leave it to them so everyone gets home tonight.

All outages across Pacific County have been restored and crews are wrapping up.

Thank you for your patience and understanding while our crews worked. We know an outage is disruptive, and we don't take it lightly that you waited.

If your power is still out, or if you see anything that needs our attention, please call the office at (360) 942-2411. A few homes can stay dark after the main repair is finished, and we'd rather hear from you than have you wait.

Power is out in Ocean Park on 240th West of Pacific Hwy as of 5:15 p.m. We're still determining how many customers are affected.

Crews have been dispatched and are en route. We're estimating about 2 hours to restoration, so roughly 7:15 p.m. We'll update this post if that changes.

⚠️ Major outage — Raymond to the Oxbow Substation

We're tracking a large outage running from Raymond out to the Oxbow substation, beginning near the old weigh station at Heckard Rd and Lignoski Rd.

Crews are assessing now. We don't yet have a customer count, a cause, or an estimated restoration time. On an outage this size that takes a while — crews have to patrol the line to find the problem before they can start on a fix.

We'll post updates here as we get them. To report an outage outside this area, call (360) 942-2411. Treat any downed line as live: stay well back and call 911.
