Today was a true reminder of what the fire service is all about โ teamwork, dedication, and answering the call no matter the challenge.
The day started off with drafting operations with Squad 38 and EMS training, sharpening skills and building teamwork that matters when seconds count. Shortly after the training wrapped up, crews were dispatched to a structure fire while at the very same time a woods fire rang in, Shortly after clearing the first structure fire we provided mutual to a neighboring town for another working structure fire. Naples was pulled away from our woods fire and had to respond to a reported fire in their own town.
Multiple incidents. Multiple departments. One mission.
From firefighters, EMS providers, dispatchers, tanker crews, and command staff โ everyone came together seamlessly to protect our communities. Days like today show the importance of training, preparation, and the strength of mutual aid partnerships. No department does this job alone, and today proved just how powerful neighboring towns working together can be.
A huge thank you to every department and agency that responded, covered stations, provided manpower, and supported one another throughout the day. Your professionalism and teamwork did not go unnoticed. Gray, Windham, Naples, Casco, Poland, and Standish Fire/EMS.
We are proud to stand beside such dedicated men and women who continue to answer the call whenever duty demands it. ๐๐ฅ๐ค
