Storytime at the Raymond Public Library
Who said you have to have a book for storytime? Not at the Raymond Public Library! When it comes to making learning fun, we’re all for changing the rules and doing things “outside.” 🌳☀️

And that's just what we did, for storytime today, our volunteer, Mrs. Nancy, and I led the children on a discovery full of fun and beauty of being outdoors. The children learned how to play kickball, enjoyed active games, and experienced how much fun learning can be when it’s filled with movement, laughter, and fresh air.

Make learning fun—join us Fridays at 10:00 AM for Storytime at the Raymond Public Library! 📚💛

Memorial Day at the Raymond Public Library

The library may have been closed for Memorial Day, but that didn’t stop our fun, learning, and celebration at the Raymond Public Library!
At our special Storytime on Friday, May 23rd, we were honored to welcome Lt. Thornton of the National Guard, who read Memorial Day by Emma Berne to our young listeners.
The children enjoyed learning about the meaning of the holiday and why we take time to remember and honor those who have served.
After the story, our little learners had a great time creating a festive red, white, and blue craft, and to top it all off, Lt. Thornton presented each child with a certificate for learning the Pledge of Allegiance.
A special thank you to Lt. Thornton of the National Guard for spending time with our children and making the day so meaningful.
Make learning fun, join us for Storytime Fridays at 10:00 AM at the Raymond Public Library!

Free Legal Assistance at the Raymond Public Library

We know that facing legal problems can be frightening—and often costly—but Raymond Public Library is here to help. We partnered with Mississippi Center for Legal Services Corporation (MCLSC) to provide free legal assistance for Hinds County residents age 60 and older.
Our most recent session was held on Thursday, May 21. If you missed it this month, don’t worry—keep an eye on our page for next month’s date and time! We're more than just books, we're a DEPENDABLE source for resources and support to our community when you need it most.
