It's Baby Storytime Day! Join us at 10:30 AM for books, bounces, music, and play time for babies and their participating caregivers.

Older siblings are welcome to attend but this program is designed for babies ages 0-18 months.

Coming up in two weeks- Simply Paint! Come to the library on Saturday, September 12th Enjoy a relaxing morning of painting.

At each session, we will present a new project along with video instructions for you to follow. Projects are suitable for all skill levels. Supplies are provided. This month we will be painting an autumn inspired walking scene.

You must register for this program, registration opens today, August 29th. Space is limited, so please cancel your reservation if you are unable to attend.

Homeschool Hangout will be back on September 15th! Come to the library at 1:00 PM and connect with other homeschooling families in your community. We will also have activities for teens and children at these events, so there will be fun for everyone!

The Friends of the South Bend Library will be having a book sale Labor Day weekend, September 5, 6, and 7. The sale will be at the back of Penoyar Law Offices from 10 AM - 3 PM.

Diantha was a dedicated library advocate, a fixture at our Raymond and South Bend branches, and an incredible person overall. Her presence will be greatly missed 💔

We are so sad to share that the most dedicated Friend of our South Bend library, Diantha Weilepp, has passed. She was a proud Finn, lifelong learner, enthusiastic gardener, talented artist, beloved librarian, and passionate supporter of democracy, first amendment rights, and freedom of information. In her career with Timberland Regional Library, she worked in Aberdeen, Raymond, and South Bend. After retiring from TRL, she ran the Friends of the Library book sale in South Bend and dedicated countless hours to saving books from a future in the landfill to get them into the hands of readers. She singlehanded raised thousands of dollars for the South Bend Library and cared fervently about preserving our historic Carnegie Library for future generations. Please remember Diantha with us today, keep her friends and family in your thoughts, and honor her memory by supporting your local library. We will miss you, Diantha.

Family Storytime is today at 10:30! Participate in stories, music, movement and rhymes that help develop your child’s early literacy skills, followed by an activity or play time.

This is an after-hours program, no regular library services will be available.
