A letter has been sent out to all who live in the Dikeland Sewer District notifying customers that as of November, 2025, there will be a slight increase in their sewer bill due to increase in operating costs to the sewer district. Members of the board are entirely volunteer and receive no compensation.

For our Dikeland Sewer residents , there will be a small increase in our monthly sewer charges of $3.00 per connection and $.43 per 1,000 gallons figured on each persons average from Sept 2023-Mar 2024 which will go into effect on October1, 2024. This increase is necessary due to our fee to Little Blue Valley Sewer/Middle Big Creek being increased for their processing our wastewater. All of the Dikeland Sewer Committee members live in the Dikeland Sewer District and are also subject to these increases, so they strive very hard to keep our costs down.

Just wanted to let everyone in the Dikeland area know that LeRoy Porter, who celebrated his 90th birthday, Friday, May 24 with family and friends, and was a charter member of the sewer district, fell and broke his hip the following day. Now today, May 29, he had to have a pacemaker installed at Belton Research Hospital where he will be for a few days. Then he will be at a Raymore rehab center. Friends who would like to visit may contact LeRoy's wife Beth at the home.
We all at the Dikeland Sewer District wish for him to have a speedy recovery.

The Dikeland Sewer pump house drastically needed fixed up and a big thanks to Boy Scout Troop 160 of Belton for putting in the hard work of weeding, moving libs, spreading new gravel and hanging new signs. We are so proud of them!
