Attention: Kenagy Park is going to be under construction starting July 6th, to make improvements to the brick restrooms, walking trails, and the main playground. The main playground will be blocked off for a few weeks to add new turf surfacing.

Construction fencing will be put up soon.

This project is funded through the OMNIBUS grant program that is 100% federally funded. The Raytown Parks Department is demolishing the old restroom and bringing in a newly constructed restroom facility. The main entrance to the walking trail and pond is also being reworked to be compliant with ADA regulations. We are also adding more accessible trails to the softball field and main playground areas.

Our apologies to the disruption to our trail walkers and park users for a few weeks, but the improvements will be a benefit for years to come. There will still be access to the main shelter house and the east Raytown RD side of the park, but the full walking trail loop will be affected by the new construction.

We expect this to be completed and fully opened back up by the end of August.

Thank you!
