On the evening of August 29th, Officers from the Raytown Traffic Enforcement Unit with the assistance of Night Patrol Squad’s 1 and 2 participated in the Saturation Saturday event for the Kansas City Metro Area hosted by Mothers Against Drunk Driving.

During the course of the evening Officers collectively conducted 50 traffic stops which resulted in:

- 3 Arrests for Driving While Intoxicated
- 1 Arrest for Driving While Suspended
- 17 Moving Violation Citations
- 19 Non-Moving Violation Citations
- 3 Vehicles Fled from Officers

We at the Raytown Police Department would like to thank MADD Heartland for allowing our participation in the event. We look forward in conducting further enforcement to remove intoxicated and/or impaired drivers from the roadways.

Last week, Raytown Police completed one of our two annual active shooter trainings with Raytown Fire Protection District, Metro Public Safety, and Raytown C-2 School District.

This training is designed to coordinate with all responding agencies in a realistic training environment to strengthen interagency communication, coordination, and response procedures.

And because this summer heat is no joke, I won’t be arriving empty-pawed. I’m bringing a tasty frozen surprise to share with my fellow sleuths! Find me this evening, cool off with a popsicle while supplies last, and see if your detective skills are sharp enough to crack the case before anyone else.

🐾 Meet Serin, Raytown’s favorite four-legged police canine. 💙

Thanks to our partnership with the Raytown Police Department, the Raytown Police Fund for Public Benefit is proud to bring the Serin Scavenger Hunt to our community each summer.

Serin may be a small plush pup in a police vest, but his adventures have a big purpose. Hidden throughout Raytown, Serin encourages families to explore local parks, landmarks, and community events while building positive connections with the officers who proudly serve our city.

The first person to solve the clues and find Serin gets to take him home, but the real prize is seeing our community come together. From smiling kids to excited families, every hunt creates new memories and strengthens the relationships that make Raytown such a special place to call home.

Community is built one connection at a time, and we’re honored to partner with the Raytown Police Department to make those connections happen.
