As 2021 comes to a close, we wanted to share Berks DSA’s Year in Review. In 2021, we…
Became an official DSA chapter, joining hundreds of others in all 50 states.
Worked with community allies to support Franklin Manor tenants facing mass eviction.
Graduated multiple members from the Emergency Workplace Organizing Committee training program.
Developed political education modules to teach members about socialist and labor politics.
Co-sponsored a May Day rally with labor and community allies and attended the United Labor Council’s May Day picnic.
Sent a delegation to DSA’s National Convention, which helped shaped the politics and program of our movement for years to come.
Built ties to the local labor movement through raising money for the Kellogg’s strike fund, supporting the Workers United union drive at Kutztown Dining, and providing workers’ rights education.
