On Wednesday May 27th the High School Hiking Club did their 4th quarter hike to Swatara State Park where they hiked out to the Bordner Cabin and Acriggs Falls. They next hiked up to the Lebanon Reservoir and followed the trail out beyond the reservoir and did the cable crossing across Fishing Creek. The last stop was at the Appalachian Trail off route 501 above Bethel to take in the view from the Kimmel Overlook. Approximately 7 miles of total hiking for the day.

We are here to serve you and your family delicious breakfast and lunch meals. Convenient, healthy, FREE meals for all children, made in our safe and sanitary kitchen. All children 18 years of age and younger can receive these FREE meals, and no paperwork is necessary to quality.

The Summer Food Service Program is located in our C.E. Cole Intermediate School cafeteria.

Meals are provided Monday through Thursday, with breakfast served from 8 am to 9:30 am and lunch served from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm. All meals are to be eaten on site. Parents and guardians are invited to eat meals with their children. The adult breakfast price is $2.00 and adult lunch price is $3.00. In addition to the meals, we have books, art supplies, games, prizes and surprises daily.

The Summer Food Service Program runs from June 8th to August 13th.

We are looking forward to seeing everyone in our cafeteria this summer!

Message from the Superintendent…

Last evening, a devastating fire impacted several of our Muhlenberg families.

Seven Muhlenberg students and their families were displaced from their homes, and one of our district employees, Roberto Rodriguez from our Maintenance Department, lost his home and belongings in the fire.

Our Parent Outreach Coordinator has been in contact with all affected families and is helping connect them with resources through the Red Cross and the Hispanic Center. Our four Social Workers are also organizing support efforts to assist the families during this difficult time.

We ask that you keep these families in your thoughts. The compassion and generosity of the Muhlenberg community have always been among our greatest strengths, and we know our community will come together to support those impacted.

Our Social Workers will be communicating additional information regarding support efforts that will be shared in the coming days.
