Reading Commission on Disability Meeting — Tonight!

Join the Reading Commission on Disability tonight from 5:30–7:00 PM at Reading Town Hall for our monthly meeting.

The Commission meets on the third Thursday of each month and works to promote accessibility, inclusion, advocacy, and greater awareness of the experiences and needs of people with disabilities in our community.

Come out, learn more, share your voice, and support the important work of the Commission!

Tomorrow (Wednesday August 12) at 10:00am is the final Summer Children’s Performance at Memorial Park! Reading Community Services is excited to welcome Johnny the K back to Reading for what’s sure to be another lively performance.

Johnny the K brings his 12-string guitar, a hilarious collection of costumed hats and disguises, and a colorful, interactive multimedia show that is sure to get everyone involved.

Last Thursday, Town of Reading and Reading Public Schools staff held the first Proposition 2 ½ Override webinar, where officials shared information about the proposed $6.5 million override and answered questions directly from residents.

Our second community forum is next Tuesday at the Reading Public Library. This session is in person with a virtual option for those who are not able to be there in person. The zoom link is below. This is one of the many upcoming opportunities to learn more, ask your questions, and hear directly from Town and School staff. We hope to see you there.
