Dear Ranger Families,

Thank you for your patience and flexibility as we continue to adjust our arrival and dismissal procedures during construction. With Strong, Lincoln, and State Streets now reopened, we are ready to move into the next phase of our plan.

For tomorrow (Monday, September 8th):

Procedures will remain the same as last week. Families should continue to enter on Enterprise and use School Drive for pick up and drop off.

Families will then exit onto Lincoln Street to keep traffic flowing smoothly.

Starting Tuesday, September 9th:

The loop at the front of the school will be used as a drive-and-drop loop only for both arrival and dismissal.

Families using the loop must enter from State Street and exit onto Lincoln Street to ensure safe and efficient traffic flow.

If families attempt to enter the loop from Lincoln Street, staff will redirect them to the appropriate entrance on State Street.

Staff members will also be positioned at the end of the loop to ensure all vehicles exit onto Lincoln.

Students will enter and exit on the right side of the vehicle (closest to the building) for safety.

Families using the loop must remain in their vehicle — there is absolutely no getting out of your vehicle in the drive-and-drop loop.

Pick-Up Process:

Each student will be assigned a color and number based on their grade level. These cards will be sent home tomorrow evening.

Families with multiple students will have their cards laminated together and given to the oldest sibling.

Each family will receive two sets of cards per child. If alternate arrangements need to be made for pick up and the person picking up does not have a card, they must park in the GSRP lot and come to the office with a driver’s license to confirm they are listed in our system as an approved pick-up contact.

If alternate arrangements are needed, parents must call the elementary office no later than 2 PM.

At dismissal, staff will call colors and numbers, which is how students will know their adult is ready to pick them up.

Adults must display the laminated card in their dashboard or passenger-side window.

Parents should not leave their vehicle in the loop to retrieve students.

Traffic Flow & Parking Reminders:

Per police order, parents may not park on Strong Street during pick up or drop off.

If you wish to leave your vehicle during pick up or drop off and walk your child to or from the building, you must park in the GSRP parking lot or at the pavilion where there is also parking available.

Parking in front of the school is staff only.

Additional Notes:

Attached you will find a map as a visual reference for these procedures. IMG_0332.jpg

If your student has any dietary restrictions, a doctor’s note must be submitted to our cafeteria staff. Without a doctor’s note, our kitchen team cannot provide meal accommodations.

We greatly appreciate your continued support and patience as we work to keep our students safe and ensure arrival and dismissal run efficiently.

Thank you for your cooperation,

Gavin Wisel
Principal, Reynolds Elementary
