These were great events for the community. It was nice to see the positive interaction between the residents and the officers this summer.

We definitely think the boys in blue should bring them back next year!๐Ÿ’™

For decades, the Exeter Township Lions Community Foundation has lived by one simple, but incredibly powerful motto: "We Serve."

But what does that actually mean for Exeter?

It means having a dedicated group of neighbors who step up whenever and wherever there is a need.

Here is just a glimpse of what the Lions Club does right here in our own backyard (and beyond!):

Championing the Blind and Visually Impaired They provide funds for eye exams and glasses for individuals in need, collect thousands of used eyeglasses and baseball caps for cataract patients globally, and proudly support the AltruVision Eye Bank, Leader Dogs for the Blind , and PA Lions Beacon Lodge Camp (a 583-acre camp for the visually impaired and special needs individuals).

Fighting Local Hunger & Hardship: They donate food and money to the Exeter Area Food Pantry . Members are in the community monthly, helping set up and distribute food to 200 local families.

Supporting Our Youth: They proudly sponsor the Exeter High School Leo Club to mentor the next generation of community leaders. They also give scholarships to deserving seniors, recognize a Student of the Month, and run a massive Christmas Toy Drive for children served by the food pantry.

Community Betterment & Hands-On Help: Have you seen how clean Route 562 is from St. Lawrence to Stonersville? That is their roadside clean-up crew! The Restoration Committee tackles small maintenance projects for the elderly and disabled. They have even given materials and labor to build the Exeter Skate Park, replace roofs on the community pavilion.

They are now calling on YOU to help them write the next chapter.

The Lions Club is currently looking for the next generation of changemakers to join the ranks.

If you want to make a hands-on difference in Exeter and give back to our little town, there is a seat at the table for you.

All you need is a willingness to help.

Ready to roar with the club?
Send your membership inquiries to Chairperson, Lion Bradford Kissam at [email protected].

Let's keep Exeter strong, together! ๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ’™

Happy First Day of School, Exeter! ๐ŸŽ’๐ŸšŒ๐Ÿฆ…

Wishing all of our students, teachers, administrators, and staff a fantastic start to the new school year!

As our community gets back into the school routine, we want to issue a quick safety reminder to all drivers:

- Slow Down: Please strictly observe the speed limits in our school zones.
- Stop for Buses: It is the law to stop for school buses with flashing red lights and extended stop arms.
- Stay Alert: Keep a close eye out for students walking and biking to and from school, especially near crosswalks and intersections.

Let's work together to keep our kids safe. Have a great year, everyone! ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿฆ…
