Today, the Exeter Township Police Department stands with Central Berks Regional Police Department as they mourn the loss of Officer Kristen Yeager.

This tragedy hits especially close to home. Central Berks Regional PD is not only a fellow law enforcement agency, but our neighboring department. We work the same streets, serve neighboring communities, and share friendships that go far beyond the badge.

Officer Yeager served with courage, compassion, and selflessness. Her sacrifice will never be forgotten.

To the members of Central Berks Regional PD, please know that Exeter stands beside you during this incredibly difficult time.

Today, our department mourns the heartbreaking loss of Officer Kristen Yeager, who made the ultimate sacrifice while responding to a call for service on May 29, 2026.

Officer Yeager served our community with courage, compassion, and unwavering dedication. She answered the call to protect and serve each day, placing the safety of others above her own. Her commitment to her badge, her fellow officers, and the citizens she served will never be forgotten.

We ask that you keep Officer Yeager’s family, friends, and our entire law enforcement family in your thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time.

Rest easy, Officer Yeager. Your watch has ended, but your legacy of service and sacrifice will live on forever. We got it from here.

We had a great two days with the students at the Junior High and Reiffton School for Career Day.

Our officers had the opportunity to talk with students about what it means to be a police officer, the qualities that make a good officer, and the responsibility that comes with serving a community. Students also got to check out some of the equipment we use and hear firsthand why we believe this is the greatest career on earth.

A lot of great questions, a lot of laughs, and hopefully a few future officers in the crowd. Thanks to the Exeter Township School District for having us out.

Little gestures like this remind us of the incredible support we continue to receive from this community.
Thank you!

Despite the cold temperatures and steady rain, members of the community showed up this morning and got after it during the Exeter Township Police Department’s MURPH fitness event. The weather was rough, but so was the grit shown by everyone who participated.

The Murph Challenge is a memorial workout completed in honor of Lt. Michael P. Murphy, a Navy SEAL who was killed in combat in Afghanistan and posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor. The workout includes a 1 mile run, 100 pull ups, 200 push ups, 300 squats, and another 1 mile run. It’s meant to test both physical and mental toughness, and today’s weather added a little extra to the challenge.

We want to thank our sponsors for helping make the event possible and supporting a great day for the community. Most importantly, great job by everyone who showed up, embraced the challenge, and finished strong. Well done all around.

Next community event??? Maybe something involving ice cream instead 😉

Have a safe Memorial Day weekend Exeter.
