Reading City Council Reading City Council is the legislative body for the City of Reading.

City Council sets policy to provide for the exercise of all duties and obligations imposed upon the City's Home Rule Charter and applicable State and Federal laws and to protect and secure the general health, safety and welfare of the City and its citizens.
