Meet Karen Marsdale – Senior Director

Karen serves as Senior Director at Hannah’s Hope, bringing deep wisdom, compassion, and leadership to our ministry. She lives in Oley, PA with her husband, Alan.

Karen has two adult children: her son Mark, who lives just outside Oxford, UK with his wife and two daughters, and her daughter Betsy, who lives in Colorado with her husband and one of her sons. Betsy’s older son lives in Vermont.

Karen enjoys gardening, spending time with friends, and staying connected with the many people she’s mentored over the years. She loves to travel—especially when it means visiting her family across the country and overseas.

🐾🐾 Immediate Need: Foster Home for Two Cats 🐾

One of our new Hannah’s Hope families recently entered the program believing they had a safe place lined up for their two beloved cats. Unfortunately, that arrangement fell through, and we are urgently looking for someone willing to foster them while the family is in our program.

These pets are an important part of this family’s story, and we would love to help keep them safe until they can be reunited.

If you or someone you know may be willing to provide a temporary foster home for two cats, please reach out to us as soon as possible.

We’re looking for dedicated volunteers to help support moms and children on their journey to independence. Whether you can spare an hour a week or help with a special project, your time can truly change lives!

💛 Volunteer Roles:
🍼 Childcare Volunteer – Provide a safe and caring space for children while moms attend programs.
📚 School Support Volunteer – Help kids with school transitions and daily routines.
🔨 House Project Volunteer – Assist with painting, repairs, and home upkeep.
🥘 Meal Provision Volunteer – Prepare or donate home-cooked meals for families.
🤝 Mom Mentor – Guide and support a mother in building life skills.
🎉 Special Events Volunteer – Help plan and host celebrations for moms and kids.
👵 Foster Grandparent Volunteer – Offer love, support, and wisdom to children.
📑 Clerical Volunteer – Assist with admin tasks like organizing files and writing thank-you notes.
🌿 Outdoor Maintenance Volunteer – Keep our gardens and outdoor spaces beautiful.
🎁 Donation Organization Volunteer – Sort and distribute essential donated items.
