On behalf of the members of Reading Career Firefighters Local 3717, we extend our deepest condolences to the Kaiser family and all who had the privilege of serving alongside Chief Kaiser.
Chief Kaiser dedicated 36 years of service to the Reading Fire Department and left a lasting impact on our organization, our profession, and the community he served. His leadership, commitment, and passion for the fire service helped shape the department we are proud to be a part of today.
Thank you, Chief, for your service, your mentorship, and your dedication to Reading
The Reading Fire Department mourns the loss of retired Chief Kevin Kaiser today. A lifelong Reading resident and Moeller High School graduate, Kevin began his fire service career as an Explorer in 1975. He became a Paid-On-Call member in 1978 and was hired full-time in 1979. Progressing through the ranks, he ultimately became Chief in 2000. Kevin served on various regional and state committees and associations, including as President of the Hamilton County Fire Chiefs’ Association, an investigator with the Specialized County Arson Task Force, and Vice-Chair of the Executive Committee for the Hamilton County Emergency Management Agency, among many other affiliations. He retired in 2014 after 36 years of dedicated service. Chief Kaiser was respected for his leadership, ingenuity, and unwavering dedication to the department and community. Rest easy, Chief. The Reading community will always remember your service.
