Weather report for today, possible chance for severe weather this evening and also dangerous temperatures as well. Pay attention to you body and watch for warning signs of heat related medical issues. Drink plenty of water and if you're working outside, take breaks and rest in the shade when possible.

As always, please be safe and help one another when there is a need!

-Chief Gratz

It's currently a beautiful morning, but things are expected to quickly warm up today with afternoon heat indices pushing 95+ degrees. Severe storms are expected this evening, with large hail, damaging winds, locally heavy rainfall, and possibly a brief isolated tornado or two. Keep an eye on the weather and have a plan to take shelter if needed.

Good Morning All!! I hope everyone is doing well this beautiful Thursday Morning!!

Below is information that was passed along to us for public release. This is a wonderful service that is being provided to our community and many surrounding communities as well. Please, if you are in need of food, do not hesitate to take advantage of this service.

With the Governor's "Safer at Home" order, this should not be a family event.

So, preferably and If possible, please, one person per vehicle, and have a space in the vehicle cleaned out and open for the items to be placed. Keep in mind, these goods are already packaged and will be placed in your vehicle for you.

In an attempt to serve as many people as possible, there will not be time to inspect these items during distribution, please wait until you arrive home to do this.

With that in mind, should you receive items you do not want or will not use, please do not throw them away. There is a location in the village where non-perishable items can be placed for others that can use them. Food waste should never happen, especially in this trying time.

Thank you all and stay safe, practice good hygiene and for now, maintain the recommended social distancing, if we all do our part, we will be back to some sort of "normalcy" in no time!

***********Monday, May 4th, 2020 from Noon to 1:00PM, the location for pickup will be at the Readstown Tourist Park, in the100 block of West Center Street.***********

Stay safe and enjoy the sun today!
