Saturday night was a great night for the Ryan Rogers Memorial Chili Cook off. We had a full house. The Rector Community Center would like to thank everyone who came to support the Rector Community Center and the Ryan Rogers Memorial Scholarship. We had 17 entrees consisting of nine chilis, five soups, and 3 jambalayas.

Mark your calendars for the 2026 Ryan Rogers Memorial Chili Cookoff! Please notice that the date has changed. Saturday, March 28, 2026. Anyone that would like to enter their favorite chili, soup, or jambalaya please call 870-595-3035! This is always a fun event as we raise money for scholarships and the Rector Community Center and remember a dear friend in Ryan.

The 2025 Fall Craft Fair was a success. We are grateful to all who attended and supported our local vendors. The event showcased a wide variety of stunning crafts, jewelry, clothing, handmade items, and mouthwatering food. We offer our heartfelt thanks to the vendors, who worked tirelessly to prepare for this event, and their efforts paid off. They were the driving force behind the Craft Fair's success. We wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas. See everyone next year!

It has come to our attention that someone is misrepresenting the Rector Community Center regarding the Fall Craft Fair on November 22, 2025. If you booked a booth through Linda james (this is how her page reads) you are being scammed. The only booths that are properly booked are through the City of Rector by either Kim Romine or Keelie Baker. If you have any questions please call 870-595-3035.

The Ryan Rogers Memorial Chili Cookoff and Supper is Saturday, February 22, 2025 at the Rector Community Center. Doors open at 6pm. $5.00 per person will get you house chili, dessert, drink and samples of all entries. There will be three divisions, Chili, Soup, and Jambalaya. Prizes will be awarded for each division. If you would like to be a sponsor or make a donation or would like to enter your famous chili, soup, or jambalaya please contact Todd Watson 870-595-4335 or the Water Office at 870-595-3035.
