We are receiving several calls regarding the smoke in Red Bluff today. As a friendly reminder, Cal-Fire along with other agencies are conducting a controlled burn today.

In addition, we have a small burn permit being utilized near Montgomery Road which is estimated to be completed by 5:00pm.

Today personnel from CAL FIRE, U.S. Forest Service - Mendocino National Forest, Red Bluff City Fire Department, Paskenta Band of Nomlaki Indians, and other allied agencies are conducting a prescribed burn in the Lake Red Bluff area. Smoke will be visible to residents in the Red Bluff area. Lake Red Bluff Recreation Area is closed to the public today.

It’s that time again — the Battle of the Badges is back on June 17th from 9:00 AM to 1:30 PM!

The big question is… who will take the title this year?
Will FIRE turn up the heat and smoke out the competition? Or will Police come in and arrest the win? 🚓🚒

This year’s goal is 19 donations, with the capacity for up to 25 donors, all to help support our community’s Blood needs. Every donor truly makes a difference, and with your help, we can make this drive a huge success.

This morning, Red Bluff City firefighters, along with CAL FIRE TGU, and local law enforcement were dispatched to a reported plane crash at the Red Bluff Airport, with initial concerns that the aircraft was on fire.

Upon arrival, crews found a plane that had landed without deploying its landing gear. Fire personnel remained on scene to provide fire watch and assist with debris cleanup after the aircraft was moved.

Shortly afterward, units were dispatched to a working garage fire. Red Bluff City crews arrived on scene, deployed a hose line, and achieved a quick knockdown of the fire. Crews remained on scene performing overhaul.

It’s that time of year again; Red Bluff City Fire Department annual BOOT DRIVE!!

Our firefighters and volunteers are hitting the pavement in effort to collect donations for the Volunteer Fire Department. Donations this year will be going to purchase new AEDs, the Museum and supporting local community needs.

We appreciate your support and excitement as we continue to serve our community.

Today and tomorrow : April 7th and 8th, in collaboration with other emergency services entities, Red Bluff City Fire Department will be performing active shooter training at Red Bluff High School.

This is schedule to run from 8:00am - 4:30pm
