It is with profound sadness that the Tehama County Deputy Sheriff's Association mourns the loss of a fellow officer from the Marysville Police Department, who was tragically shot and killed while serving a search warrant related to an investigation into a trans-national drug organization.

This officer, with two years of service, was a valued member of the SWAT team and a proud Army veteran. Their dedication to protecting our communities, their bravery, and the sacrifice they made will never be forgotten.

Our hearts are with the officer’s family, friends, and colleagues. We stand together with the Marysville Police Department and all law enforcement during this incredibly difficult time. Rest in peace, hero. You will always be remembered.

We are proud to be Sponsors of last week’s High School Rodeo hosted at the Tehama District Fairgrounds! Pictured here is “Rooster” competing on her horse named Yellow.

Rooster is the Daughter of one of our own and we’ve enjoyed getting to watch her grow up and become an incredibly bright and talented woman.

Keep it up, Rooster!

Today, we solemnly remember the tragic events of September 11, 2001. On this day, 2,977 innocent lives were lost, including 343 firefighters, 72 police officers, and 55 military personnel who answered the call of duty with unparalleled bravery. Their sacrifice in the face of unimaginable danger is a testament to their extraordinary courage and commitment. As we reflect on their memory, let us honor their legacy by cherishing each moment and standing together as a community.

Deputies with the Tehama County Sheriff's Office and allied agencies are working in the evacuated areas. They're hard at work checking on people who didn't evacuate, deterring looters and providing other services.

Here's a shot from a quick break. With all the fire we've been seeing recently, we wanted to share a bit of beauty to hopefully brighten everyone's day a bit.
