Mt. Vernon Volunteer Fire Department would like to announce that we are a recipient of the 2026 State Farm/National Volunteer Fire Council "Good Neighbor Firefighter Safety Program Grant."

We were one of the 150 volunteer fire departments chosen across the United States to receive a $10,000 grant!

Our department has chosen to use funds for safety equipment to better equip our firefighters and trucks.

Thank you State Farm and National Volunteer Fire Council!

Don't forget about our ATV Ride next Saturday, June 13th!! They will be leaving around 10:00! This was a big time last year! Concessions will not be provided for this event so bring a sandwich and hit the trails!!

WOW! From what we thought was gonna be a bust due to the rain, ended up kicking our tails in about 2.5 hours! We may have to carry poor Cody in the house to Rena tonight! And thank you to Wesley Davis for entertainment!!! Again, thank you, thank you, thank you!!

It wasn't too good of a bike riding day but Cody is firing up the deep fryer and cooking up some good fish!!! Y'all come grab a plate starting at 3:00PM until we run out!! Support your local fire department!

This has been so confusing for many.

We will be having a Motorcycle ride Saturday, May 23rd morning. It will return around 2:00pm.

We will have a Fish Fry for EVERYBODY that wants to come starting at 3:00PM.
