*** OUTDATED POST from earlier Saturday evening (May 30)...if you experienced any damaging winds or hail please let us know!

***Central Portions of the area remain under a Severe Thunderstorm Watch Until 10pm***

** MOST IMPORTANTLY** : Be "weather aware" this evening, and have a way to receive Warnings if your area is placed in one!

05/30/2026

** FRI NIGHT-SATURDAY: Scattered showers and MAINLY weak storms overnight...MOST of Saturday dry...then a few storms Saturday evening (possibly severe?)
(read below for more details)

Focusing mainly on these next 24-30 hours, and starting with Friday night into Saturday morning...the main story will be scattered showers/thunderstorms moving across our area from generally southwest-to-northeast. MOST storms should be weak, but a few stronger storms with at least some potential for wind gusts ~ 50 MPH/small hail cannot be ruled out (especially before midnight).

During the day Saturday, at least spotty showers/weak storms will continue into the morning, but the afternoon should mainly just be warm and breezy, with highs into the 80s and southeast winds gusting up to ~ 30 MPH.

Getting into Saturday evening and overnight, MOST of our area will probably remain dry. However, at least isolated thunderstorm activity will be possible anytime after 8 PM or so...a few of which could be severe. As a result, our entire forecast area is under at least a Marginal to Slight Risk for a few severe storms.

05/29/2026

Scattered thunderstorms are possible across the area during the late afternoon to late evening hours on Saturday. These storms could be strong to severe, capable of producing hail to the size of ping pong balls and wind gusts around 60mph.
