Our Story

The MIDLAND AREA AGENCY ON AGING is a farce. It does not represent the best interests of the senior citizen residents of Webster County.

The Elm Street Center of Red Cloud Nebraska is owned by the non-profit corporation The Webster County Senior Citizens’ Committee, Inc. All of the members of the “Committee, Inc” are volunteers. Both senior citizens and younger working people are volunteers. Most often their organizations and businesses show strong support for programs benefiting senior citizens. The Elm Street Center, through the “Committee, Inc” provides space for and supports services for the senior citizen population of the community and the rural area outside Red Cloud:

The following services have been withdrawn from the Elm Street Center and the Webster County Senior Citizens’ Committee, Inc:

Services provided through Midland Area Agency on Aging (by contract) Noon Meal - Nutrition Program

Summer Youth Meal Program - ABANDONED BY MIDLAND AREA AGENCY ON AGING

Toe-Nail Clinics Transit - Handi-buses Solar Powered Bus Barn - state of the art facility - ON LAND DONATED BY THE WEBSTER COUNTY SENIOR CITIZENS’ COMMITTEE, INC.
