Red Hook Community Center presents Childcare Certification Training for Youth!
Saturday and Sunday June 27th and 28th from 11am-5:30pm

This opportunity will prepare youth to provide childcare with the Safety skills necessary for success. Youth will also receive a "Childcare Kit" which provides them with supplies to meet a variety of developmental stages/needs. Youth will build a resume, receive financial literacy training, make mock-ads to promote their work and hear from professionals in the field!

There are still spots open for this upcoming event!

Have you ever wanted to move like the characters from Avatar the Last Airbender, or other Kungfu inspired anime? If so, this class is for you! We will learn the basics of Gongfu, an ancient Chinese martial art. Open to ages 11-17. Wear clothing that is comfortable and easy to move in.

This Saturday- June 6th from 1-2pm. REGISTRATION REQUIRED.

Instructor Charlotte Gibbons is a Hudson Valley based certified instructor of Shen Long Xingyiquan with the North American Tang Shou Tao Association and has been practicing martial arts for over a decade.

Discover the magic of breathwork. This guided session invites you to use your breath as a tool for release, clarity, and renewal. Together with music and shared energy, we’ll create a safe space for deep letting go — whatever that looks like for you. All are welcome.

Facilitated by Diana Benz with , who holds certificationa in breathwork facilitation, Block Therapy™, yoga, and Reiki. She is devoted to creating joyful spaces for healing, growth, and connection.

What you’ll need:

Wear warm, comfortable clothes suitable for lying down.
Avoid heavy meals at least 30 minutes prior to arrival.
Bring a mat and a blanket for comfort, (or borrow these from us here at the center)

Join Terry & her assistant Abigail Watson in this group of explorative play with sound and rhythm. Terry is a professional musician with licenses in Music Therapy and Special Education. She hopes to inspire movement, engagement, and fun in this group for children ages 0-5years.

Michele is back with DanceXross Fitness (DXF) at Red Hook Community Center!

DXF® classes focus on a variety of movements while targeting all muscle groups. DXF® combines dance principals with the latest kickboxing, and strength training moves. Soul line dance sequences are interspersed throughout the 60-minute session to promote interval training and encourage uniformity among the group. Use of hand weights are used for strength training. This is all choreographed to fabulous music. These methods are built in to keep this class ever changing. It is a serious total-body workout that will leave your students feeling stronger, leaner, empowered and happy they came.
