UPDATE 4:15pm: Public Works has repaired the leak, and water has been reinstated.

Public Works Department has identified a water leak at 117 Susan Way. To make repairs, water service will be suspended starting at 9:00am today and will take approximately four hours to complete. Susan Way, Lisa Way, and Sheri Way residents will experience little to no water pressure during this time.

At tonight's council meeting, the Red Oak City Council recognized Red Oak Post Office Worker Cynthia Ann Brewer for her 24 years of continued service in Red Oak. Mrs. Brewer is retiring from the US Postal Service at the end of this month. We congratulate her on retirement and thank her for her many years of service to the Red Oak community.

ROAD CLOSURE NOTICE: TxDOT has notified us that from March 2-7, they will be making nightly (8pm-6am) closures to the northbound and southbound lanes of I35E at Butcher Rd. The service roads at Butcher Rd. will be open during the main lane closures; however, expect heavy traffic conditions with backups. Motorists are encouraged to plan alternate routes.

✅Signs CAN be placed on private property with the owner’s permission
✅Signs CAN be held, worn, or attached to lawfully parked vehicles within the premises of the polling location. ONLY during the voting period and while in compliance with electioneering laws

❌Signs CANNOT be placed or left on public property or in the right-of-way. This includes the parkway between the street and sidewalk and in the median.

After careful evaluation of their customer call volumes and to better align with industry/area standards, on Monday, February 27, 2023, CWD’s customer service hours will be changing. The new hours will be 8am-5pm Monday-Friday, and 8am-2pm on Saturday's.

Residents can contact CWD Customer Service to request pickups and report issues at (972) 392-9300 (option 2).

Residents, please be patient as CWD works to recover missed collections from last week's weather event.

Doubled trash/recycling volumes and current rainy weather are making it difficult for CWD crews to complete certain routes at regularly scheduled times. If your trash and/or recycling is not collected on your scheduled day, please leave your carts/containers at the curb, and collection will be completed the following morning.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we all get back to normal after last week's weather.

STARTING SALARY is $66,321, with a $2500 to $4000 Lateral Entry Signing Bonus. PLUS, we offer paid 100% Medical, Dental & Vision plans, Basic Life Insurance, AD&D and Long-Term Insurance, and Employee Assistance Program for full-time employees. A TMRS Retirement Plan with a 2:1 match at 7% and Paid Holiday, Vacation & Sick Leave. Also, optional FSA/ HAS plans, Supplemental Life Insurance, and 457 Deferred Compensation Plans.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS include:
- U.S. citizens at least 21 years of age
