Last night was a beautiful evening for our Virtual Youth Fishing Tournament Awards Ceremony! 🎣 We enjoyed a fish fry, a fish filleting demonstration, presented awards, and had some fun with door prizes.

This year, we had 33 entries in our tournament. Congratulations to our 2026 Virtual Youth Fishing Tournament winners! 🏆

Now is a great time to start working on those 4-H record books while your projects, fair experiences, activities, and accomplishments are still fresh in your mind!

Don’t wait until the last minute; work on a little bit at a time and remember that your record book is YOUR story of your 4-H year. 💚 Whether you showed livestock, completed static projects, attended events, volunteered, tried something new, or grew as a leader, it all deserves to be recorded!

We had a great turnout at the Farmland Leasing meeting! If you missed it, you can still attend the statewide webinar on August 19th.

Our 4-H Meats Judging team kicked off their season with their first practice yesterday, diving into evaluating hanging carcssses along with a variety of wholesale and retail cuts of meat.🥩

A huge thank you goes to Corning Meat Processing for welcoming our 4-Hers, sharing their expertise, and allowing us to use their facilities.

Register now for the Master Conservationist Program, coming this September-October in Montgomery and Page Counties! 📣
Master Conservationists are individuals that share an interest in the sustainability of Iowa's natural resources and in becoming better stewards of those resources. This program consists of approximately 12 hours of online curriculum and several in-person, in-the-field "field-trips" to local areas. Graduates of the course learn to make informed choices for leading and educating others to improve conservation in our area.

🕔 5:00 p.m.
📍 Locations in both Montgomery and Page Counties
💵 Registration fee is $50 per person and includes all materials and a meal each evening.
