We are celebrating some amazing student accomplishments! 🏆📚

Our Goal Crushers are students who earn a Meets or Masters on their end-of-unit or end-of-module assessments, and we are so proud of their hard work and dedication!

Today, we had the opportunity to celebrate our 2nd grade Goal Crushers for the very first time, and what an exciting milestone it was! 🌟 These students have worked hard, pushed themselves, and shown what they can accomplish when they give it their all.

A HUGE congratulations to all of our 5th grader and 2nd grader Goal Crushers! Keep setting goals, working hard, and showing us what you can do! We can’t wait to celebrate even more success! 💙👏

Celebrating Hispanic Heritage! ❤️🎶

Our students put on a beautiful Hispanic Heritage performance, sharing wonderful songs that celebrated the rich culture and traditions of Hispanic heritage! 🇲🇽🌎🎵 It was such a special opportunity to come together and celebrate through music.

A huge shout-out to our new music teacher, Mr. Szymusiak for doing an amazing job preparing our students for this performance! 👏🎤 We are so excited to have him sharing his talents and love of music with our students!

We are so excited for these amazing educators!!!

FROM BISD:

Bastrop ISD Opens Doors to Tuition-Free Degrees for Its Inaugural Educator Institute Cohort! 🎓

This morning, we surprised 10 outstanding educators with the exciting news that they are part of the inaugural Bastrop Educator Institute cohort! Through an innovative partnership between Bastrop ISD, Indiana Wesleyan University, and Teachworthy-Elevate, these educators are beginning their journey toward full teacher certification.

Through an accelerated bachelor’s degree program that awards college credit for district professional learning, participants will receive financial support through BISD and PREP Allotment funding to cover their education, along with personalized guidance from our partners as they earn their degrees and continue serving Bastrop ISD students.

We’re proud to invest in our educators, create new pathways to the classroom, and support those who make a difference in the lives of our students every day.

Once upon a time in First Grade…

Our first graders stepped into the magical world of fairy tales during an exciting culminating activity!

Students visited different classrooms, where they dove into beloved fairy tales and brought each story to life through hands-on, creative activities. From building and designing to creating their own projects, our young learners explored the stories in fun and memorable ways!

What a wonderful way to combine literacy, creativity, collaboration, and learning! We love seeing our first graders make connections with stories and show their understanding in such creative ways.

Mrs Torres class made popsicles! 🍦❄️ We learned all about changes in matter and what happens when liquids are exposed to cold temperatures. We watched our liquid mixture freeze and change into a solid and of course, the best part was getting to enjoy our experiment! ❤️🔬
