The Marana Police Department and the Marana Police Volunteers Foundation presented the Marana Food Bank and the 100 Club of Arizona checks for $9,000 on Tuesday May 26. The $18,000 were proceeds from the 2025, Marana Police Department "Pride 4 The Patch" golf tournament. The Tournament was sponsored by CORE Construction, Waste Management and the Marana Police Volunteers Foundation.

Wednesday night Marana Police Volunteers assisted the Marana Police Department at the annual Tip-A-Cop for the Special Olympics event held at the Texas Roadhouse. $2915 was raised at the event. Thank you volunteers, MPD Officers and Texas Roadhouse.

On Saturday May 16th the Marana Police Volunteers were assisting the Marana Police Department with traffic control to protect applicants for the Marana Police Department during their Physical Testing run.

Child car seat safety inspections at the Marana Aquatic and Recreation Center today 8:00am -11:00am. When was the last time you checked your child's car seat is still the correct one and is installed correctly.

When was the last time you checked your child's car seat. 85% of child car seats are incorrectly installed. Come to the Marana Aquatic and Recreation Center Wellness Expo on Saturday May 2nd from 8:00am to 11:00am. We will be having a free drive-up child car seat safety inspection event. Certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians will be available to assure your child's car seat is installed correctly and is the correct fit for your child.

The Marana Police Volunteers along with the Marana Police Department are at the Fry's on Silverbell and Cortaro today Saturday April 25, until 2:00pm. It is Dispose-A-Med/ DEA Drug Take Back Day.

Powders collecting old and unused medication

There are still a few openings for this Saturday's Car Seat Safety Class. One free car seat will be provided to each family that attends the class. Location and time of class:

If you can't make the class this may be a good time to schedule an appointment to have your existing car seat inspected by one of our Certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians.

CAR SEAT SAFETY CLASS:
On Saturday March 28, 2026, from 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM, the Marana Police Department will be hosting a car seat safety class at our main station. Participating families will receive one car seat (free) at the conclusion of the class. Registration is limited to the first 12 families. Volunteers were assisting the Marana Police Department with their information booth at Saturday's Safety Fair at the Tucson Mall. Our volunteer Child Passenger Safety Technician also helped at the child car seat inspection area.
