Guidelines for Using social media for non-United Way Representatives

UW-GWP reserves the rights to dele

te any post that:

• Contains vulgar language (including masked words “***”)
• Is clearly off-topic or disruptive
• Includes personal attacks
• Contains spam or advertising for services, products, or political campaigns
• Violates the terms and agreements of the social media platform being used

United Way of Goodhue, Wabasha & Pierce Counties will not tolerate implicit or explicit discrimination or intimidation (including but not limited to age, sex, race, color, creed, religion, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, citizenship, disability, or marital status or any other legally recognized protected basis under federal, state, or local laws, regulations, or ordinances).”


Any statements posted on social media under the United Way GWP name that do not meet these guidelines will be removed immediately upon discovery or notification at the discretion of UW-GWP.

Every year Xcel Energy Prairie Island employees put on a fantastic golf event that supports the United Way of Hastings; and the United Way of Goodhue, Wabasha & Pierce Counties.

As luck would have it, we have openings are inviting the public to join this event on Friday, August 7th.

If you work for a local business and you'd like to sponsor this event, you won't be turned away.

Tournament is a best ball scramble style and will be at Mount Frontenac.

This year's theme is pool party!
Zach at Xcel will help you get set up.

We know that many people work in one of our beautiful communities and live in the other-this is an awesome way to support these two local United Ways.

United Way will be hosting two school supply pick-up events to serve area students. Our first one will be held in Wabasha, in partnership with Wabasha County Public Health on August 19th. The next night we will be at the Red Wing Elks Lodge-August 20th. Mark your school calendar.
