Artists showcase their work and offer items for purchase. ers a unique opportunity to tour the studios, meet the artists and see and purchase art work in a variety of media including pottery, painting, printmaking, photography, sculpture, textiles, jewelry, computer imaging and Giclee prints. One of the sites will also have live music during the weekend. The studio setting allows for a behind-the-scenes look at the artists and their work. Many visitors enjoy one-on-one conversations with the artists and learn about the inspiration behind the pieces. Visitors from the surrounding area, including Rochester, Northfield, Minneapolis, St. Paul and River Falls, come to the Studio Ramble to find distinctive artwork for their homes and offices. New artists join the Studio Ramble’s veteran artists to create a new experience each year. Artists’ techniques and subjects change over time so it’s worthwhile to take another tour.
“There’s an amazing amount of talent within our community,” explained Dan Wiemer, a participating painter. “You should definitely come and check out the artwork and enjoy some time in the beautiful Red Wing area.”
