Challenge Accepted Burney Chamber of Commerce and Beautify Shasta!

๐ŸŒฟโ˜€๏ธ Memorial Day Weekend Challenge โ˜€๏ธ๐ŸŒฟ
Whether youโ€™re heading out camping, spending the day on the lake, hitting the trails, or just enjoying time outdoors with friends and family, take a few extra minutes this weekend to help leave our community a little better than you found it ๐Ÿ’š
๐Ÿงค Pick up a few pieces of litter
๐Ÿšค Pack out what you pack in
๐Ÿ•๏ธ Leave campsites cleaner than you found them
๐ŸŒŠ Help protect our lakes, trails, rivers, and public spaces
It doesnโ€™t have to be a full cleanup day to make a difference. Sometimes the biggest impact starts with one bag of trash, one campsite, or one person deciding to care.
Letโ€™s show some pride in the places we all love to enjoy this holiday weekend ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ
Have fun, stay safe, and thank you for helping keep Shasta County beautiful ๐ŸŒฒโœจ

To help ease the burden of rising construction costs and better meet the housing needs of our Shasta County residents, the Department of Resource Management is excited to share that we've teamed up with local architects and designers and developed seven unique and pre-approved plans for Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs) that can be used right here in the unincorporated areas of Shasta County.

Each design has been approved for construction in the County for up to 50lb and 70lb snow load zones and includes a variety of amenities and options.

To view building plans and obtain information on how to select a design and apply for a permit, please visit the Pre-Approved ADU Plans website: https://www.shastacounty.gov/planning/page/shasta-county-pre-approved-adu-plans

Almost 1 in 4 Californians don't have enough to eat.
State law SB 1383 requires food service businesses to donate edible food to food recovery organizations instead of recycling or throwing it away.

There are three main requirements for complying with the law:
1. Donate the maximum amount of surplus edible food that would otherwise be discarded.
2. Establish written agreements with food recovery organizations to pick up or receive your surplus edible food.
3. Maintain monthly records of type, frequency, and pounds of food recovered and sent to/collected by each organization.
