🍉 The Great Melon Showdown! 🍉

Our residents went slice-to-slice in a watermelon-eating contest filled with plenty of laughs, cheering and juicy competition! Congratulations to our two winners, Bill and Gail! 🏆 Everyone did a fantastic job participating and made it such a fun afternoon at River Commons! A big thank-you to our kitchen team for all their hard work slicing and preparing the watermelon, and to our Activities Director, Jenny, for putting together such a fun event! ❤️💚

🍋 Thursday afternoons are always bingo time at River Commons, but this week we added a refreshing twist for National Lemonade Day! Our residents enjoyed lemonade and delicious lemon Chex Mix prepared by our kitchen while playing their usual rounds of bingo. It was the perfect mix of sweet treats, good company, and Thursday afternoon fun! 💛

🌺 We’re saying “Aloha!” to Luau Week at River Commons! 🌴

Our residents kicked off the week with a delicious tropical meal, colorful leis, festive outfits, and wonderful company. Judging by these smiles, the island fun is already off to a great start—and there’s plenty more to come! 🍍🌺

🐎 Ready… Set… Race!
The race was on, and so was the fun! Our residents enjoyed an afternoon of horse races, cheering for their favorites and celebrating every exciting finish. Every roll of the dice kept everyone on the edge of their seats, making for an afternoon full of fun and excitement! Whether they came in first or last, everyone left with smiles, laughs, and memories made with friends.

Smiles, good friends, and great food made for a wonderful Monday! 😊❤️ Our residents enjoyed a delightful lunch outing to Becca’s Café in Anderson, where delicious food, friendly service, and great company made for a memorable afternoon. From sharing stories around the table to simply enjoying time together, it was the perfect way to spend the day. Thank you to the wonderful staff at Becca’s Café for your warm hospitality, we’re already looking forward to our next visit! 🍽️💙

Adventure was on the agenda today! 🌞 Our residents had a fantastic time visiting the Shasta Dam Visitor Center, where they explored fascinating exhibits, admired the breathtaking scenery, and shared plenty of smiles along the way. We love creating opportunities for our residents to stay active, engaged, and connected with our beautiful community.

We hit the jackpot this week… with smiles! 😄🎰🍀
Our residents enjoyed a fun-filled outing to Win-River Casino, trying their luck on the slots, sharing laughs, and making memories together. We may not have come home millionaires, but we definitely came home winners! 💚

Wednesday afternoons are made for music and dancing! 💃🎶
Each Wednesday, our residents gather to enjoy refreshing drinks, delicious snacks and live music during Happy Hour. Yesterday, we were treated to a wonderful performance by The Goodtime Band, who had everyone smiling, singing along and dancing the afternoon away!
Thank you to The Goodtime Band for bringing the fun and helping create so many smiles and joyful memories!
