We talked about mental health, about military families, about what advocacy actually looks like and why the Family Justice Center model changes outcomes. And then we introduced you to six extraordinary people who are going to take the stage this October for survivors in our community.

Shasta County, meet the final four stars who are going to light up the Cascade Theatre stage on October 17 for One SAFE Place. Kacee Laine Gibbs, Jay Sumerlin, Lidia Manzo, and Josh Hoines are stepping into the spotlight, and we could not be more proud of this extraordinary cast.

Eight stars. Eight stories. One Broadway stage. One community coming together for survivors who need us most.

Shasta County, Dancing with the Shasta Stars 2026 is HERE and we are beyond thrilled to introduce the first four incredible community members who said yes to the stage, yes to the spotlight, and yes to One SAFE Place.

Human trafficking does not always look the way people imagine.

It does not always involve strangers or force. In our community, it often involves someone a young person trusts. It can look like a relationship. A job offer. A place to stay.

One SAFE Place works with survivors of trafficking every day. We provide advocates, safety planning, housing navigation, and connections to services because recovery from trafficking requires more than a single intervention.
