Eight Broadway Stars are hiding around Redding.

Well…life-size versions of them are.

Starting today, life-size cardboard cutouts of all 8 members of this year’s Dancing with the Shasta Stars cast are hidden inside local businesses around town, waiting for you to find them.
We’re not telling you where.

But we are giving you clues.
Starting tomorrow, we’ll reveal hints for TWO Stars each day. Your job is to figure out where they’re hiding, go find them, snap a photo with them and post it with .

Every Star you find and post enters you into this week’s prize drawing, with this week’s prize coming from R&R.

Find all 8 Stars before October 5 and you’ll also be entered to win the grand prize: a VIP 4-pack to Dancing with the Shasta Stars: Broadway Edition, complete with food and drinks before and after the show.

And one more tip: follow this year’s Stars on social media. They might just give away a little more than we do. 👀

Our stars have spent the summer rehearsing, fundraising, and showing up, and now it's your turn to be part of it.

Someone calls the hotline at 2am. Someone walks through our doors for the first time, not sure what to say yet.

Either way, an advocate is there.

They answer at odd hours. They sit with someone through the hardest ten minutes of their week. They don't ask what could have been done differently. They ask what someone needs right now.

This is the part of One SAFE Place most people never see. It is also the part that never stops.

Help us meet a mama's needs! 💜

A mama in one of our residential programs is getting ready to welcome her baby very soon, and we want to make sure she has everything she needs for those first precious weeks. The items highlighted are her top ten requests.

Let's come together for this mama in need. Every item, big or small, tells her she is not alone.

Depending on the item, we may be able to accept a lightly used donation, including a noise machine, baby monitor, crib, or swing. Message us and we'll help you find the perfect way to give!

Leaving doesn't end the relationship on paper.
Custody arrangements. Support orders. Coordinating pickups with someone who used to control every part of your life. That part often lasts years past the point most people assume "she's out now, she's fine."

One SAFE Place helps with that part too.

August is Child Support Awareness Month. We're using it to say the quiet part out loud: support doesn't end when someone leaves.

Teachers notice things.

A kid who flinches at raised voices. A kid whose homework doesn't get done because mornings at home are chaos. A kid who says "I'm fine" a little too fast, every time.

Back to school means routine again, and routine is one of the only windows some kids get where an adult outside the house sees them regularly enough to notice something is wrong. That's not a reason to panic. It's a reason to know what to do with what you notice.
